About the challenge
HelloHacks is UBC BizTech’s beginner-focused hackathon, bringing together students from all backgrounds and experience levels for a weekend of hands-on learning and building.
Get started
HelloHacks aims to provide unmatched support especially for those with little to no coding experience. Beyond just workshops, each team will receive personalized guidance and resources from experienced mentors, helping them navigate the hackathon journey with confidence and ease. We hope to curate a welcoming environment where hackers feel empowered to step outside their comfort zones, explore new skills, and foster their creativity.
Requirements
What to Build
You can build any software project you’d like, web, mobile, or otherwise. The focus is on learning and creating, not complexity :)
What to Submit
You must submit your project on Devpost with
- Short description -- what you built & problem it solves
- Screenshots -- key parts of your project
OPTIONAL, but required for sponsor streams & audience's choice -- 1-minute demo video showcasing your project, how it works, and the problem it solves
